  • The Internet is the most used, largest, global and accessible source of information;
  • The majority of Internet users consider the Internet has a reliable source of information and are aware of quality issues;
  • Accuracy is the most important dimension in data quality and can be accepted in some cases with a certain level of acceptance;
  • Some companies are only living on information;
  • Company's data are used by other companies to make decisions;
  • Data quality issues are touching all kind of organizations;
  • The loss associated to data quality is estimated from 15 to 25% of the operating profit;
